Inspired by the "WIENER WÜRFELUHR" (Viennese Cube Clock) from 1907, and in close collaboration with Lichterloh, a foremost Austrian 20th century art & antiques gallery, Fredi Brodmann designed a limited and numbered edition of 1907 wrist watches called NORMALZEIT. The timepiece commemorates this special year where MEZ (Middle European Time) was introduced to the Monarchy by Emperor Franz-Josef. From then on NORMALZEIT displayed synchronized time across town of two million citizens.
